About the Journal

Ilorin Journal of Education (IJE) is a broad based scholarly, referred, blinded peer-reviewed, yearly journal published by the Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. The journal seeks to bridge and integrate the intellectual, methodological, and substantive diversity of educational scholarship and to establish the link between educational scholars and policy makers. It publishes empirical research, from a wide range of traditions that contributes to the development of knowledge across the broad field of education which includes research, development, and practices in all area of education, including human development, school, training, formal, informal, basic education, tertiary, open and distance education, vocational education, industry and life-long learning. It is available both in hard copy and online.

This publication is linked to the Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin 2024 Conference with the theme: Entrepreneurship for the 21st Century Teacher Education that was held from 19th to 22nd August 2024. The theme of the Conference emphasises the need for the integration of entrepreneurial principles into teacher training programmes to prepare educators for the dynamic and evolving educational landscape. This conference, through practical hands-on workshop activities and plenary paper presentations, and discussions, explores edupreneurship as a catalyst for innovative teaching practices, empowering educators to become problem-solvers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners.
